Folders that have been shared with you will not appear in your sync folder on your desktop.

Keep that in mind when you are sharing with others.

If you do want something to appear in your collaborator's sync folder, you can convert the folder into a Project. (What's the difference between Projects and Folders? ) Make sure you add them as project collaborators!
