Upgrade your macOS for file system compatibility ***PLEASE NOTE: This is only relevant for users who downloaded macOS PRIOR to 11/15/2023***

If you downloaded macOS before November 15, 2023, please follow the instructions below to upgrade. Due to major upgrades in the newest version of macOS, old versions are incompatible with sync folders from previous versions.

(If you installed macOS after November 15, 2023- you're on the latest version! No action is needed!)

MacOS Migration is simple, and will enable you to organize your files in any way you want.

Upgrade Instructions:

  • Download the latest DMG

  • You will need to log in again, and Boombox will re-download all your files

  • You must choose a NEW LOCATION for the boombox sync folder, different than your previous choice.

  • When prompted, select "Replace" to avoid duplication

Please Note that the initial sync will take some time, as files are downloaded in the background to save bandwidth.

Your previous sync folder will be left alone, but you may choose to remove it manually once the new sync is complete
