Boombox: A Home For Creatives

Boombox is an inclusive collaboration tool. We want to cultivate a diverse community for everyone to have fun, work together, and build connections. We work hard to make this a safe and productive space for all who use our platform. Boombox is a reflection of all of our communities of culture, styles, and musical tastes. We’ve spent a lot of time thinking about the different points of view that create a safe and open environment for everyone.

We’ve created these Community Guidelines so you can help us foster and protect this amazing community. By using Boombox, you agree to these guidelines and our Terms of Service. We’re committed to these guidelines and we hope you are too. Repeatedly overstepping these boundaries may result in account suspension.

Each of us is a part of the Boombox community. If you see something that you think may violate our guidelines, please help us by using our built-in reporting option. Our team reviews these reports and works as quickly as possible to remove content that doesn’t meet our guidelines. When you complete the report, try to provide as much information as possible so we can assess and review quickly. We may remove content if either the imagery or associated comments violate our guidelines.

You may find content you don’t like but doesn’t violate the Community Guidelines. Many disputes and misunderstandings can be resolved directly between members of the community.

The #1 Rule: Be Respectful

While we believe disagreement can be constructive, personal attacks and abusive language won't be tolerated. It’s our belief that a community that emphasizes mutual respect will benefit all artists.

Not Allowed:

Racist, Homophobic or Prejudiced Jokes or Comments

Racist and bigoted comments are expressly forbidden and are considered hate speech. This is defined as speech that demeans an individual or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other similar ground.

Discrimination

It's never OK to encourage violence or attack anyone based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, disabilities, or diseases. When hate speech is being shared to challenge it or to raise awareness, we may allow it. In those instances, we ask that you express your intent clearly

Pornography/Sexually Explicit Posts

We have zero-tolerance when it comes to sharing sexual or endangering content involving minors or threatening to post intimate images of others.

Piracy

No piracy discussion of any kind (e.g., plug-ins, samples, etc). We are here to support developers and sample makers.

Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity, hide or attempt to hide your identity, or otherwise use boombox for any invasive or fraudulent purpose.

Selling Items, Accounts, Goods, and Services

Selling items, accounts, goods, and services is prohibited. Posting links redirecting to giveaways, harmful content, adult content, derogatory content, downloads, and/or viruses is prohibited. Boombox is not a place to support or praise terrorism, organized crime, or hate groups. Offering sexual services, buying or selling firearms and illegal or prescription drugs (even if it’s legal in your region) is also not allowed.

Abuse and Harassment

We have zero-tolerance for bullying. Serious threats of harm to the public and personal safety aren't allowed. This includes specific threats of physical harm as well as threats of theft, vandalism, and other financial harm.

Follow the Law

We may work with law enforcement, including when we believe that there’s a risk of physical harm or threat to public safety.

If you discover that something isn’t covered in these guidelines, please let us know by emailing us at [email protected].

Thank you for helping us create one of the best music collaboration communities in the world!

Respectfully,

The Boombox Team
