Once you have installed macOS and synced it to your boombox account, we recommend that you sort the files based on “Kind”.

Projects within boombox will appear as folders and scraps will appear as individual files below all the projects.

Actions that you take locally will sync to the boombox app right away. This includes...

  • Create a folder/project

  • Drag and drop a new folder/project into boombox

  • Add files or remove files from a folder/project

  • Rename a folder/project

  • Add files or remove files (from the scraps)

  • Rename files within a project (or in the scraps)

  • Move files - from scraps to a project or from one project to another

Actions that you take in the app will sync to your local folder, but there may be a delay of up to 5 minutes.

Note: A project is a “top level” item in the boombox app. While a project can contain subfolders, you can’t combine projects locally into a higher level organization. Take the screenshot above as the example, you can’t create a new folder and try to drag three existing folders into it. (There isn’t a corresponding action in the boombox app)
