When you close a project, you can still access it any time in the projects main page. All files, settings and splits will remain live in the app, but it will be filed under the "closed projects" portion of your Boombox account until reactivated or deleted.

Closed projects are not editable by collaborators.

You can view "closed projects" by changing the filter in your project homepage to "all projects" or "closed projects".
